Terms and Conditions
Please read these T&C's very carefully before placing your order.

General Rental Agreement 

If you have purchased a rental you are accepting our agreement and policy. You must keep this garment in your possession and not share it with others. The contract you agree to is the Dress Rentals by Neish agreement. Meaning that you're accountable to uphold the rental agreement, which is specified in your order including the dates for the rental, its size,  the product ordered, and the date the item needs to be returned by. If the item is not returned by the due date stated in the terms and conditions you will be accountable for all  late fees ($15 per day), You do not have the right to keep the product past the required date of return. We are the legal owner of all garments meaning that your rental must ALWAYS be returned. We do not put items on hold for anyone and the rental is not confirmed until the payment is made and you have been sent and order confirmation.

To Guarantee the garment arrives on time, pickups will be available in Hamilton, or if postage is needed, we will ensure we allow at least 2 days for postage. If you were to book a garment 2 working days or less before your event that requires postage, then this is at your own risk and there will be no refund or store credit for postal errors. Please note any bookings made after 2PM Wednesday is classified as a Late order and Dress Rentals by Neish reserves the right not to offer a refund or store credit for any items that have not arrived in time for your event.  If a postal rental goes missing due to the customer entering the incorrect delivery address then the replacement cost will be invoiced to the customer and you will not receive a refund. NZ post can have delays. If your rental has not arrived back to us on time we will notify you on Wednesday and give the option to swap dresses, refund, store credit or post the dress out on Thursday with Saturday delivery. Pickup orders will be available the day before your event.

Payments and Methods

We offer several payment methods through our secure checkout system:

 All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) as we are ONLY open for customers that are based in NZ.

Shipping is calculated at checkout and not included in the original price

Our shipping options are:

 Dress Rental Overnight Shipping + Return ($14)  

 Dress rentals Overnight rural + Return ($18).

Nails are $5 for overnight shipping please message us to arrange the shipping cost.



All garments that have been worn for a weekend event MUST be returned on Monday before 5pm. Please contact me before you book your rental if you need to return the garment at a later time. 

When you return your rental please place the garment in the return bag we provided and hand it OVER THE COUNTER at any NZ Post shop so NZ post can scan the item. If the parcel has been placed in a drop box you're liable to cover the cost if we have to let down the next customer due to delays.

If the item hasn't been scanned and has not arrived back to us after a few days you will have to fill out a description form completing the details of where and who the parcel was dropped to as an investigation will be lodged. 

We will always write on your return card what day the dress is due back by. If you're unable to post back the dress in the required time frame you will be issued a $15 late fee per day and if it affects the next rental you are liable to cover the rental price.

Also please send us the tracking when you post it make sure you ask for overnight delivery.

Drop offs:

Please return the garment in the black box outside the try on room.

Postage information/NZ post 

Postal Rentals will always be sent out on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday with overnight courier if you have a weekend event. 

NZ post delays are out of our control. Please understand that Dressrentalsbyneish can not control NZ post delays or losses but we will always do our best to track our packages and give you updates as they come to hand.

The postal cutoff is at 12pm on Wednesday for a weekend event. If an order is placed after that time frame this is 100% at your risk and you will not be issued a refund or store credit if it doesn't arrive in time.  

When returning your garment please do not put it in a drop box. It must be handed over the counter for NZ Post to scan. Drop boxes can take up to 2 weeks to be cleared. If  put in a drop box, you will be charged the cost if we have to cancel rentals and late fees will be invoiced.

Pick ups

Pickups are located in Newstead Hamilton NZ. Please message me on instagram or email to arrange a pick up time. You can pick up your order 1-2 days before your event. 

If you select pick up at checkout that means you have to also drop it off not post it back (unless we have previously discussed this.)

If the rental is posted back you will be liable for all late fees and any rentals that may be impacted for the next weekend.

Once you have arranged a pick up time with us through email, text or DM your rental will be placed in the black box outside the try on room for collection. Please understand that if you don't arrange a pick up time with us the dress will not be in the box.

If you have damaged the rental please be honest and let us know. After we have hand washed the garment with stain remover we will check if there is still any damage. If there is, you are liable to pay the full cost of the Retail price, if it is beyond repair. If it requires only dry cleaning you will be liable to pay those's costs as well. 

If there has been a tear or a hole please also communicate with us.

If a customer refuses to comply with these rules Dress Rentals By Neish will take it very seriously and continue with further procedures

Afterpay is available with replacement fees.


We do not offer a refund if the rental is no longer needed or you have changed your mind. If you’re wanting to cancel your order you will be issued a store credit. Although if we have already sent out your rental no store credit or refund will be issued and you will need to post the dress back as soon as it arrives.

If you have selected pick up and decided you want to cancel your order 48 hours before the event there will be a $15 fee taken from the order and you will be store credited the balance.

Refunds or store credits will also not be issued if you’re not happy with the size or fit as booking a rental without trying it on is at your own risk. We can provide size guides if requested but please note we cannot guarantee that these are 100% accurate as they are taken straight from the brands website. Measurements of the length can also be provided if requested. No refunds or store credits will be issued for complaints about the dress not fitting. Try ons are available in Newstead Hamilton.

A refund is offered if we are unable to post the dress to you due to irreparable damage from the previous hireage or if NZ post does not deliver your parcel on time (this does not come into place if you have made a late booking.) Please note we offer swaps and store credits as well in this situation.

Fittings are available in Hamilton and bookings are essential. To book a fitting, get in contact via our instagram @dressrentalsbyneish. Try-ons/fittings are available year round, with some exceptions during holiday periods. Dress Rentals by Neish reserves the right to refuse any fittings/try-ons at any time. 

Some bookings happen very last minute (especially pick ups) so sometimes the dresses that you have asked to try on won’t be there. If you are only coming in for one specific dress please text us on THE DAY of your try on to check if the dress is in the try on room. 

If your events are cancelled/postponed or you are unwell due to a Covid you will be issued a store credit. This store credit does not have a time limit and can be used at anytime on any rental if it is available. To use the credit please contact dressrentalsbyneish directly to arrange. Any breach of the above stated terms and conditions will be addressed in a professional manner asap.

Once again,

You are liable to pay the full cost of the Retail price, if it is beyond repair. If you can't afford to pay for the full RRP of the dress do not rent off us. Payment plans are available.
